how to alter digital photos?

i am an avid hunter and I am interested in
having my trophies picture taken and altered to appear as they would in the wild. I would like to know if anyone could
provide this service and how it could be done? email wsingletary4@cs.com

If it's the horns only you are conscerned with recreating it would be a lot easier to get pictures of the kind of animal and replace it's horns with your horns. That would still be a pain in the rear--but it would be a little easier. You'd need to take pictures of your mount horns in the same angle or position as the animal photographed. From what I've heard it's easier with a blue background. I just think that would look much more natural than sticking a picture of your mount in a wild setting. It would be obvious the animal was in the same pose, etc...

My thoughts. I'd never be able to do this in PS! I don't have the talent. Good luck!

There are 2 two steps to this process. First, you need to isolate the trophy in the original image. This can be done using, for example, the selection tool in Photoshop. Warning - depending on the original image's background, this may be quite time-consuming and the result may be not as good as you hoped for. It all depends on the features that the trophy has and how it blends into its background. The second part is the easiest. Once you have selected (isolated) the trophy in the original image, you can easily position it into the new "wild" image using the Move tool in Photoshop.

P.S. If isolating the trophy in the original photo is not going so well in Photoshop, you can try a program such as Mask Pro. I use this quite frequently for compositing photos.
