how do i get a photographys license


i would like to start taking pictures for a career- I love it and have done it for years but now I want to get paid for the work- do I need a license? to do work for bussiness's or anything? if so , how do I obtain one?

  There's really no such things as a photography license. You can attend a real school, e.g. the Brooks Institute, and get a degree [probably, in Fine Arts - Photography.]

i took the NYIP Program. You get a Certificate that you completed a Program in Professional Photography - a long way from a license. You also get NYIP "credentials" [e'g. an ID Card, a bumper sticker] that may help you get past police lines , etc. Again, not a license.

If you're fortunate to land a job with a newspaper [mployment or freelance,] you might get a Press Photographers ID.

But, again, there's no "license." Sorry.
