How to keep color from changing in different apps This frustrating scenario happened to me today...why and what can I do to avoid it? 1) I brought my digital image up in the Windows Picture and Fax viewer...I was disappointed at the color displayed in my image. It was quite different than the original dark, periwinkle blue color in my mom's dress that I had used as my backdrop. 2) When I next brought up this image in PS Elements, I was pleased to find the color I had expected to see...not only was it periwinkle blue but it had a slightly violet coloration, like Liz Taylor's famous eyes, haha. This was a complete mystery to me as I had so far done nothing to change the colors. 3) When I uploaded my image as a jpeg file to better photo, I again noticed that the color had reverted back on me to that first color I had seen in the Windows Picture and Fax Viewer, not what I was expecting. Disappointing, I might add. 4) I subsequently tested saving for web, etc., and uploading to my webshots account, but it never retained that color that appeared in PS Elements, the color that was truest in nature to what I had shot. WHY????? Even when I emailed the picture directly to myself using PS Elements, the picture was in the off color and not what I saw and wanted!!! I guarantee that the color I shot was most like the color in PS Elements, but no where else!
