Photography Question

Need critique on this abstract photo


 
 
I photographed a beautiful stone gate on a bridge in Central Park New York City. It had a very pretty design pattern.
I used an exposure of 1/90 sec at f/16.

The second photo I decided would look nice abstract. I then edited the photo in the digital darkroom, for the final result.

What do you think?
