Canon telephoto zoom lens I am considering purchasing a Canon 70-200 f/2.8 IS lens ($1,600). Does anyone have any comments about how this lens has worked for them?

I have heard nothing but good things about the lens but I was going to mention that I have a brand spanking new one still in the box that was given to me as a gift that I would like to sell. Its a bit too much lens for me as an amatur. I was going to sell it for 1100. That's a great price on an excellent lens. Personally, I feel that the 2.8 is too large/heavy and usually recommend the f/4 version. Much smaller, lighter and affordable. A pro lens too. Cheers! Peter Burian
