Photography Question

Terry M. Gunderson

What came first? The Sun or the Moon?

I am a new student with NYIP (New York Institute of Photography) and a friend upon hearing this told me an awsome idea. She wants a photograph of the Moon and the Sun in the same western sky. Because of the extreme light difference, I would assume that taking a shot of a moon first would be washed out when I expose for the sun, and if I expose for the sun first, the immage of the moon might not show through the first immage. Any idea's as to what came first the sun or the moon?
