my new light meter

I am new at shooting med format, and being that my Hasselblad is all manual I bought really good light meter. It's a Sekonic zoom master L-508. Can any one give me some pointers on how to use it correctly. Right now I'm just shooting outdoors, land scapes and still objects.I use mostly ISO 100 film

U should learn how to use the meter effectively in order to master the zone systems. Is urs the one with spot attachment? If so , first set the iso speed ur using, the shutter speed ur using. Then compose the image in the viewfinder of your hassy. Remember in the finder at least 3 objects or zones to meter - the highlight, the middle tone and the shadow. From there try to average them corresponding to the aperture or shutter speed that u want to use. By the way film atitude falls tight when u use slides. Never mind practice makes perfect. Jus go out and shoot if u want to be good. Practice is more important than theory.

Thanks Ishak, I do have the spotmeter and do use it when shooting landscape. I usually spot two sometimes three different objects in a frame, one object thats very light and one object thats darker, then I put the f-stop in between those two. If I'm shooting during the day I usually keep it at 1/125 or 1/60th.Also I turn the white ball so it's in the flat position and spin it so it's facing what I'm shooting. Thanks for your response and I will keep practicing.
