How to use 81B Warm up filter

I am planning to trek in Garhwal Himalaya region during this October. I have Nikon N80 SLR camera. I am taking CPL, ND2 and 81B warm up filters. I have plan to use the 81B warm up filter to reduce the blue cast due to mountain shadow specially at early morning and late afternoon. Please let me know how and when should I use this filter. What is the correct procedure to use it?

Thanks for your help in advance.

You don't need to use any warming filter at early morning and late afternoon because the light is quite warm. You only need it during high noon or overcast day. I am assuming you have the screw on type filters. Just be careful when you stack filters on your lens. You may get vignetting (black corners). I think you will use the CPL most. You may also need a GND4 (2 stops) or GND8 (3 stops) for the mountains. The GND is half clear and half grey gradually. Hope this helps.

Thanks Andy for your help and nice advice. Your assumption is correct. It is screw type filter. While shooting landscape I mostly use CPL. Do I need to use Sky light filter to reduce the bluish haze due to mountain shadow? Please advice.

With the CPL. you don't need the Skylight filter. CPL will do that for you.
