A question like this is very hard to answer because when you say you want portable lighting, you have it. An 85mm lens is about right for portrait work. Jerry

I have responded to the following thread about portable lighting: http://www.betterphoto.com/forms/qnaDetail.php?threadID=11154 For protrait, it is very common to use lenses in 85mm to 135mm focal length, which your 70-200mm already covered. Hope this helps.

Thankyou andy and jerry for your answers as you can probably guess by the question iam knew to photoghraphy I thought you had to have a wide angle lense for portrait ? and also do you think a medium format camera is better for portrait I have been looking at mamiya. Sorry I meant studio lighting I can set up as a studio in my front room or take with me to someone elses house for example .Thankyou angie
