Photography Question

Frank P. Luongo

How is the composition of this photo?

I took this photo from what I felt to be an interesting angle.Shot several exposures--could not completely isolate flag--framed it with tree leaves.

Awkward angle directs attention to flag then lets the eye slip out at the blue sky. The image of the flag is not a compelling image. Too small and dwarfed by perspective of buildings. Consider it a learning experience.

I don't see anything interesting in it. My eye keeps shifting away from the flag and down to the bottom of the buildings. In other words, my eye is looking for a focal point. The flag is a distraction from the buildings and the buildings distract from the flag. I'm not sure what you were trying to display here, the flag, or the view of the vertical buildings.

Keep working on it. Go shoot it again only try less building, or more. Try no sky, then more sky. Etc.
