Yes (assuming no ROM-related problems such as are common with Sigma lenses on new EOS bodies). Define "best." The Tamron is thought by many to be the best of the 28-300 zooms, and while very versatile, this class of lens is not even close to "best" in terms of sharpness, resolution, focusing speed, maximum aperture, barrel/pincushion distortion, etc. 28mm at the wide end is far short of "wide angle" on the 1.6x crop EOS digital SLRs, giving the angle of view equivalent to a 45mm focal length on a 35mm film camera.
