Photography Question

Reliable place to buy equipment

Hi, Im looking for a good and reliable online store to buy lenses and other accessories for my Canon 10D. Ive used both BH & Adorama. Ive noticed they both seem a bit higher in price than many of the other online stores and magazine ads. Ive used them in the past for smaller items and they seem to be very reliable. Ive also bought from ebay auctions, but often have to wait 10 or more days to receive an item. Im in the market to purchase some of the higher priced Canon lenses and would like a recommendation of a site or sales person to deal with. Please help.

While B&H and Adorama do not have the lowest advertised prices, they are the most reliable prices. Neither of these two has a reputation for bait & switch and other fraudulent practices that are common among some of those that advertise "too good to be true" prices.

Check on others' experiences with the lowest priced operators at http://www.resellerratings.com/index.pl and http://www.photo.net/neighbor/one-subcategory?id=2.

I don't have first hand experience with buydig.com, but they have very low prices and good feedback at the two rating sites given above.

Try the on-line auction sites like e-bay for lenses and accessories.
Just make sure the seller is reputable with a good positive feedback rating, and that there is a return policy if you're not satisfied.
Also, local pawn shops often have great name-brand lenses for low prices.

Aside from these two suggestions, I've ordered lenses from B&H's "used" department, and have never been dis-satisfied.
