Chemistry of developing negatives My question is related to the chemistry of developing negatives since I'm only a begginer;I was wondering if developers used in photography are bases or acids and whether their increasing ph makes them better or weaker reducing agents and how the chemical structure of the developer makes it a good reducing agent?
