BBB Membership Page for ILP Of special note, the description of their business is as has been described on this board: "vanity publisher."

"Based on BBB files, this company has a satisfactory record with the Bureau. Any complaints processed by the Bureau in its three-year reporting period have been resolved. The number and type of complaints are not unusual for a company in this industry."

What that means is that if you've paid them, they'll eventually send you a book publishing one of your photos. That's all that's contracted for. The problem most have with this company is that (1) the books are not published in a timely manner, and (2) that there is an unjustified implication/expectation that being published in these books carries some sort of professional cache or recognition and is a good way to launch a professional career. It is not.

In layman's terms, you didn't get scamed because you do get the book. But being in the book dosen't really mean anything.
