  Just a couple questions:
(1) What did you pay for the book, and what do you think is the unit cost for the bowl and the book?

(2) Do authors/illustrators usually have to pay the publisher for a copy of their book?

Cathy, I replied to your private message you sent, but thought I would post something here also, so everyone hopefully would get the message.

It is very hard to call them a "scam", since they do seem to get around to putting one's image in their book if they pay for it.

They do know that there are thousands of new and budding young photograhers out there who will do anything to say that they were published in a book. They are playing with one's emotions, and obviously, it works!
One should "never" pay to have their work published!

So still, I can't call it a scam, but very unethical in a since!

Plus, if you are seriously considering a future in photography, you will only be hurting yourself by doing something like this!

Just my opinion Cathy,
Mike
