Raquel, you can respond under your previous question, you don't have to start a new thread each time. I have an Elan IIe that I like very much and would not hesitate to recommend it. The film wind/rewind is very quiet compared to other cameras, but I wouldn't call it "silent." Canon calls it "Whisper Drive." The camera still has a clearly audible "clap" when the mirror flips up and shutter opens.
