Photography Question

Storage of Film

I recently read that storing film in a dresser drawer can damage film because of glue fumes (the furniture is new). If this is true?, is it likely that my film that's been in the drawer for about a month in the plastic containers they came in is damaged? In the future, how is it best to store film and already developed negatives? Thank you, Jordan.

The plastic containers are nearly, if not completely, air tight. I wouldn't worry about the fumes. See Kodak's publication, E-30 Storage and Care of Photographic Materials for more information.
