What lenses for the Canon EOS-10D? My husband just bought me the Canon EOS-10D to upgrade me from the Canon G3. I am not sure which lenses I need for it - I mostly take photos of kids. Can you please advise? I have a 35-80 lens from my old Canon Rebel, but that is it so far. Thank you. Lisa

Hey Lisa - I have the EOS 10D as well. I can honestly tell you that the Canon 28mm-135mm USM IS is an amazing lens for the price (about $400). I keep this lense on my camera 80% of the time. I am an enthusiast but also take an unreal amount of pictures of my children and this lens with the stabalization feature is great and produces quality very very close to the L Lenses!!! For Telephoto I also have Canon's 100-300mm USM IS Lens. Between these two lenses covers just about everything you will need (although I still find the need for a very wide anglegiven the 1.6X multiplier). The 100-300 lense is very soft at the maximum zoom but otherwise a decent lense. If you are going to buy one lense initially I strongly recommend the 28-135 above. Vic

Lisa!!! There is a back issue of " Photographic " magazine last year dated JUNE 2003 that has featured the camera you own Canon EOS 10D!!! Fantastic review for a digital cam! Maybe you can ask your fave newsstand if they still have that issue. Good luck!
