Good news for you! You have the last laugh on all us Canon and Nikon fans. Your camera can use the best (in my opinion) SLR lenses made, the Carl Zeiss Contax. Yashica belongs to Kyocera, who use Zeiss optical formulas to produce these fine lenses in Japan. These lenses aren't cheap, but buy just one. You'll be amazed at the picture quality. The most reasonably priced are the 50-mm f1.7 or the 45-mm Tessar. Forget filters; I wouldn't put a filter over a lens like this, except perhaps a UV filter for protection. Use a lens shade, for flare reduction and protection.

Except of course that the 109MP was one of Kyocera's (I won't dignify it by calling it a Yashica) most unreliable bodies, I've seen many issues with the shutter and winder. Also, there are no parts anymore for this model.
