Photographing through glass windows

How can I shoot thro windows (from the inside to the outside) without getting the reflection back from the glass in my shots?

I have a polarising filter, if this is necessary?

thanks for all help (in anticipation!!)

cheers

Press your lens against the window, if possible. If your lens has the flower shape lens hood, remove it. It is better if you have one or those flexible rubber lens hood so your lens doesn't have to touch the window. Polarizer reduces glare, but not reflection. Hope this helps.
