Displaying photos I must be unclear on what the Display checkbox means when uploading a photo. I sometimes upload two versions to see which looks better online, or upload photos to use in the future in the contest that I don't want displayed yet. I just uploaded three for the future and got a comment on one of them. I see they are all online in the recently uploaded photos, which I didn't intend! Has this changed or have I always been unclear on what "Display" meant?

If you click display it will appear in recently uploaded photos. So if you upload 2 you can see which one you like and then go back and click off display on the one you don't. If you don't need the extra for future use just delete it.

I didn't have display checked for the images yet they were showing in recently uploaded and even got a comment. I didn't intend them to be public at the time so didn't check display. That's why I'm confused. I thought it was possible to upload them and see them myself but that others couldn't see them unless I checked Display.

I've never used the option myself, but I'd have assumed the same thing, Janet . . . and been asking the same question!

I'd never checked recently uploaded before. :) I checked today and sure enough, the uploaded image without display checked was showing there. Maybe something has changed?
