Sunpak B 3600 D flash unit deticated for Minolta

I have a Sunpak B 3600 D flash unit, which is deticated for Minolta (manual) SLR cameras. On the back of the unit there is a distance/aperture scale and a switch, with which the user can choose Manual and Auto operation (3 different options for auto depending on the power). Also there is an option that has no indications at all (the scale does not show at all). Is this option for TTL use?
Besides this, there is a switch at the boot of the flash, with two indications: "A" and "B". What can this switch be for?
Thank you!
