???N80, Elan 7 or anything else???

Hello friends,

I already have one "point-and-shoot" camera which is no fun to shoot with (can't do much about the outcome:) and so I decided I'd like to buy myself something that is "more fun":)). I've been deciding for several days now between Nikon N80 and Canon's Elan 7. I don't know yet how deep into the art of photography I'd like to once get, since I've never had a chance to explore that option, but I'd like to shoot a lot - going out hiking - shooting sceneries, animals, sunsets, sunrises, people, friends, flowers, trees - maybe even try to play with exposure and make a little art. (I love photography - especially artistic photography). Next month I'm going to see a F1 race and I'd like to take a few pictures of that too. But I'm not that much into sport photography. Shortly, I'd like a camera with which I can grow - nothing too professional though. But it has to be powerful and reliable.(which I think both Nikon and Canon are). I think that shutter speed of 30-1/4000 is enough for me - but since I don't know much about all that I'll leave even this issue to you). Price isn't a problem for me... at least not now. I'd really love if anyone would share with me their experiences with N80, Elan 7 or any other (nearly) equal camera bodies. A little comparison of N80 and Elan 7 would also be very handy to me. And if you think there are better cameras for me - advise me and I'll be the most grateful.

Thank you very much!!!

Michaela
