Photography Question

New Equipment

Dear Sir

I finally have enough money to buy my first 35mm auto focus SLR. I have been using my old trusty Pentax P30t for 5 years now and I want to go autofocus. I am an advanced amateur photographer. I have been reading reviews on the Sigma SA-9 and Canon Elan 7E. The Sigma has so many wonderful features and the price is great too, and it even got Editor's Choice Award from Popular Photography Magazine. If you could choose which one of the two cameras, what would you go for? I like the Sigma a lot and the range of lenses are amazing.

Thanks
Wonderful website and the photos are astonishingly beautiful. Keep up the great work.

The last part of your comment about lenses is the most important to me. And Sigma may have a range that amazes you but their quality is nowhere near that of Canon's. For that reason alone I would go for the Canon.

I agree fully with Jeff.
Even I am amature photographer, I have a Elan 7E with Canon 28-105 & 75 300 UV lense along with it & I love the output which I get from it. They are realy amazing. I have even tried Tamron 28-200 lense of my friend's with my Elan 7E body, but I did not get the satisfactory result.
