Zoom browser doesn't recognize Canon 10D


Hi there,

Since I bought my new laptop which has Windows Vista ( all of them comming with vista these days), my ZoomBrowser EX doesn't recognize my 10D or any other canon camera. I upgraded to the latest version of ZoomBrowser and it doesn't help. The customer service at Bestbuy where I got my laptop tried but they couldn't figure out what was the problem.
Uptill now, I was using Auto download mode or would use Corel Paintshop to download my images but I couldn't download raw images or use Fileviewer Utility programe neither I could get my images data. I am really fed up with Vista. I really want all my Canon softwares to work. Please I need your help. Is there anything that could be done? Any default changes that I am overlooking? Is anyone else having this problem?

  Sobia. I dont know if this helps much, but I have a Canon Rebel XT, and recently had to purchase a new computer. Its a Dell w/Vista. I recently shot RAW which I am trying to do more, and in order to see them I remembered I had to install the Canon Zoom Browser that came with the camera. However, it did not work with Vista. BUT, I did get a message to go to Canon's website and I was able to download a newer version of the Zoom Browser and now I can shoot RAW etc, etc. So the only thing I can suggest is to go to Canon's website and checkout their downloads. I hope this helps.

  I have done this too...had downloaded all latest versions of all softwares...but that too didn't work.
