Large Canvas Prints

I posted this in this section figuring that I'd get the best feedback. I'm looking for a recommendation as to where I can get good quality canvas prints done. I'm looking at larger sizes like 20x30 and such. Either online or in the lower NY area. Thanks.

There is a lot of discussion about canvas prints on the artshow_photo group at yahoo. You might want to do a search of the archives there to get some varied opinions about printers. There is a fellow by the name of John Castronovo who has a photo printing business in NJ, which I think would be fairly close to you since I believe he is in the suburbs of NYC, but not sure. He posts regularly to the group and is very helpful in regards to print issues. Hope that is some help to you.
You might also find the comments on how the rest of the art community feel about canvas prints interesting.
Jeff

  Hi Christopher,
I found a local place to get an 11x14 canvas print done (they do larger ones) and I live in a small town in Wa state. You may call around to a few local graphic/print shops and see if anyone can accommodate you.
Good Luck,
Carlton

I use nationsphoto.com I have never gotten gallery wraps done there but I love there photo quality. They do the gallery wraps in 3 different thickness and from a size 11x14 to 24 x 36 and start at $70 and go to $220. There is free shipping on gallery wraps and come complete ready to hang. And the best part the ordering is all done online. I hope this helps.

Mpix.com has 25% off on Gallery Wraps for all sizes through March 11. If I were you, I would take advantage of this promotion. So hurry. You will have to use a promo-code to get the discount.

Thanks for the leads everyone. I'm going to get a gallery wrap from mpix.com to take advantage of the sale for now. In the future I'll sample some of the other online vendors and compare the results.

  Chris,
I checked around for contact info for John Castronovo. His company is Technical Photo and Imaging, in Fairfield NJ. He has been in business since 1976 and does a good bit of pro work including drum scans. You can reach him at 1-800-242-3686(Foto) or email jcc@technicalphoto.com ,tell him a member of Larry Bermans artshow_photo group sent you.
As a disclaimer, I haven't ever talked to him or knowingly seen any of their work, but he has been a great help in answering print related questions as a member of the group. To me that counts for something.
Jeff
