Photography Question

Lynn Lynn

Canon EOS Elan

This may be stupid, but what is the difference between these Canon bodies?
EOS Elan 7, 7E, 7NE, & 7E ?
I'm thinking of going in this directon. At ritzcamera.com they offer some with 2 sigma lenses. I've read here that sigma isn't the best, but I plan on adding better lenses later on.
Thanks for any input!!!!

The E models have Eye Control Focus - the camera uses the autofocus sensor nearest where you are looking in the viewfinder. I love this feature on my Elan IIe, but you can turn it off if you want to manually select the focus sensor or allow the camera to choose it automatically.

The Elan 7/7E was introduced in late 2000. The 7N/7NE is a revision introduced in 2004 with some cosmetic changes, backlighting for the LCD display, and updated algorithms for the autofocus and E-TTL II auto flash metering.

AWESOME CAMERA, I CANNOT STATE THIS ENOUGH. I've loved mine from day one, do not plan on ever getting rid of it, and will not even think twice about putting money into for repairs. Not saying its going to need them anytime soon, but just saying.

Easy learning curve if you've got even the littlest grasp on photography. I bought this camera not knowing the darndest thing about taking a photo and the camera pretty much taught me! If you can find it for the right price, grab it, you won't be dissapointed. And the 4 fps is supa-fast! for a "serious hobbyist" like me.
