Slide Copying
Having collected a large number of 35mm slides using a conventional SLR, I now want to move into Digital Photography and need to copy these slides.Would I be better buying a Digital Camera and Film Scanner or a Camera complete with a Slide Copier Attachment [such as the Leica Digimax 4.3 + Digicopier].?

A lot will depend on the specific equipment. I recommend looking at using a film scanner for creating digital images from the slides. The technology of these has improved over the past couple of years. Although more expensive than a "flat bed" scanner, some of the film scanners are not as outrageously expensive as they were and do a very good job. Among other aspects that might be important to you, ensure the list includes comparing true optical resolution (not interpolation) and dMax range on them. -- John
