Stacking filters
Is it a bad idea to place a polarizer filter over the top of a neutral uv filter. Or is it no problem.

Each piece of glass (I use the term loosely) you put in front of your lens degrades the image sharpnes. The more filters you stack the less sharp your image. Is it noticeable? Depends on the critical sharpness of your image. I always remove my UV filters when I shoot (whether I'm putting another filter on or not). To me they are just clear lens caps. Basically, I would say - why not take them off, it doesn't take a lot of time.
