how to shoot low light dacners
My lens tends to only set as low as 5.6 apture. I have played w/ 800 and 1600 ISO but stillnot getting good shots. I set ss 1/3. Any suggestions? I also have a problem with my NIkon D%0 automatically overriding my choosen settings. Not sure why. Appreciate any input! Namaste.

For openers, Diane, you could either post some of the problematic images OR describe what you feel the shots are lacking. I shoot dance and theatrical work all day long at ISO 200 or even less, usually without strobe at f5.6 or f8.0 and using a fully manual camera. Let us know. M.

Mark The up coming will be belly dancers in a low dimmly light restuarant. I'm not sure how close I will be able to get to them. Will definatley be more from the audiece area as not to interfer with the spectators there for the show. It isn't a stage setting. I looked a some of your pics and looks like you are on teh stage with them? Your work is nice. I appreciate any feedback, suggestions. Unfortunately the practice run photos were so disapointing I dumped them all! Thank you for taking the time to share your experiences with me! Namaste.Diane
