How to get this effect while shooting?

Sandra, It looks like the depth of field is as shot. You'll want to use a wide aperture/fast lens -- though the example here was shot with a lens that was f5.6 -- not particularly fast. There is a lot of distance between the object and background however. you put up the same URLs for both image examples...you need to post the color one. Richard Lynch
