SanDisk Ultra III CF not showing RAW

Hi,
We just set up our new Canon Digital Rebel XTi today and while trying to set the picture quality noticed that it does not give me RAW as one of the settings. I formated the card and it still is not showing up. The card is the SanDisk Ultra III CompactFlash
4 Gigs. Any ideas? Thanks!

Sorry to double post but I saw no way to edit my first post. The card is
SanDisk Extreme III 4.0GB

The available choices for picture quality vary depending on the exposure mode. In the Basic Zone modes (green box auto and the icons) the camera will save JPG files only and the RAW option does not appear. In the Creative Zone (P, Av, Tv, M, A-DEP) all file options are available, including RAW and RAW + JPG.

Denise, Jon is right. let me address your concerns about the memory card. The card has no impact on the file format you choose, so don't think of the card as part of the problem. Learn to shoot in one of the manual (or partial manual) modes: Av, Tv, or M.

Happy New year

John

Thank you both, now I know what settings to use when I want RAW.
