Tamron 70-200 2.8 Have you heard of any reviews on this lens? I'm thinking ofpurchasing one... any advice. I have a Nikon D300.

Rated very good by one magazine. Can't remember which one. Rated a little better than Canon's 70-200.

I've heard that this is a good lens, but not quite as good as the Sigma 70-200/2.8. I have the Sigma, and I can tell you that it is an extremely sharp lens. Look on dpreview.com and search the forums... many people are trying to decide whether to buy the Sigma or Tamron, and there are a lot of posts with sample images.
