Photography Question

Rachel Larson

Can anyone give me their opinion on Kubota Tools?

Can anyone give me an opinion on Kubota Artistic Tools? I am considering purchasing the starter pack (Vol.2 & 3, and Production tools). I'm just wondering if it is worth the investment.

Thanks in advance for the feedback,
Rachel

Having some experience with image adjustment, I think it is far better to learn to work with your images and make your own effects than to depend on a plugin or 'automated' correction tool.

Ahem, a [choke...gasp]...$1300?!?! I looked at one package that has (bad) color correction (their example is awful!), sepia toning, black & white conversion, and soft focus. These are easy to do, and better to know how to do on your own so you can control the effects.

I see that I way underprice my own offerings for Elements. I was selling 100 tools for $15, and some of them were pretty complicated.

I think you are best off learning. You'll have more flexibility, better understanding of what is going on, and even your photography can improve.

Anyone can use a boxed effect.
