Advice on the Canon EFs 10-22 lens

This may have been asked before, but I couldn't find anything on a search, so I apologize for possibly being redundant. Is there anyone who has used this lens and what are your opinions on it. I have read some very good reviews, but thought I could find some unbiased ratings from BP members. I shoot a Canon 30D and need a wide angle lens. Is this the one? Thanks to all who respond. >Russ

I have the 10-22, and I love it. It is a great lens. Sharp, great contrast, and wonderful color. Very little distortion, but there is some, of course, being that wide a lens.

The Cokin P filter system will vignette at the wider end. I am at work now, but I will see about posting a shot taken with this lens.

Thanks a bunch David, especially about the Coking Filter system. I just purchased the P series kit with ND grad filters but haven't used them yet. I know the 10-22 isn't an L series lens but I understand the only difference is the weather proofing only...Is that true as well? Thanks again, I look forward to seeing some pics.> Russ
