All Canon EF, MP, and TS-E lenses ever made will work on the digital EOS cameras. Any Sigma, Tamron, Tokina, etc. lens made for the autofocus EOS line should also work, but Sigma had a problem with an electronic incompatibility with lenses it made prior to 2002. See http://photonotes.org/articles/beginner-faq/lenses.html#compatibilitythirdparty.

The XTi and XSi can also use the EF-S line of lenses that Canon developed for the smaller sensor of these cameras. Similar for the Tamron Di II series, Sigma DC series, and Tokina DX series of lenses.
