Photography Question

How To Draw...

This is going to be really weird, since I know this is a photography site, but just go with it...

I took a picture of some flowers recently, and I would like to draw them by hand.

Does anyone know what it's called when you draw a picture, but use only cursive words and phrases for everything? Like, instead of drawing a line, you replace it with a word written in cursive.

I know this sounds kind of confusing, but that's really the only way I can think to describe it. From far away, it looks like a regular drawing, but when you get up close, the whole drawing is made of cursive words.

If anyone knows, that would be incredible helpful!

Sounds cool. I know the famous caraciture artist that drew for the New York Times used to put his daughter's name, Nina, into every drawing. So does it actually have a name? Or is it just sketching using written text instead of lines.

  I don't know what it's called either.

I know you said you want to draw it "by hand", but if you were looking to do something like this on the computer, you might want to look at CorelDraw. I've done something like this in CorelDraw before. You can put a JPG picture in a background layer, and then draw by hand on top of it. You can also fit text to any path or line. So you can fit text to the outline of an object, then erase the outline so you just have the text making the outline.

It's not the easiest program to learn, but there are some good 3rd party books out there.
