Nikon N65 flash

I have a Nikon N65 that the flash no longer works. Does anyone know how to replace or repair the flash?

Have you gone about troubleshooting this camera's flash to determine what's really wrong with it or are you just asking generically how to fix it? If that's it, it's a long reach. I could be anything from the power source, to the electronics, to the flash tube, the trigger circuit, the PC cord or hot shoe connection, anything. How bout just sending it in to Nikon and letting them take a look? Armato's in New York? Get someone to buy you a nice new SB800 for x-mas and see if that works with the camera as a whole.
Take it light.

Buy a Nikon SB 27 or SB 28 speedlight

I just bought it on ebay $56. It included a 28-80 nikon lens. It seemed like a great deal. I got it for my 7 year old grandson that goes with me on photo hikes. He has been using a point and shoot. I thought it would be a good basic camera for him to learn on. He can still use it, but it would be nice if the flash worked. I don't think he could handle it well with an added speedlight. I was hoping that there was a simple answer, but apparently there could be a multitude of issues causing it not to work. Thanks for your responses.
