Classes Hi! I am taking Gain Control of your Camera. I would like to take some additional courses. I know I need to take a photoshop one but feel I need more on photography first. My question is what class would be the next best step?

Depends which step you are on now.. :-) Your bio mentioned an interest in macro. I've taken several of Brenda Tharp's macro classes and she is great! Bob

Hi Sandra, Thanks for asking! Bob gave some fine advice (thanks, Bob!) ... Brenda's macro courses are excellent, although rated as Skill Level 3. Other possibilities (in no particular order of preference) that would expand on what you have learned in Gain Control: Guaranteed Better Photography (4 weeks) or Digital Photography Course (8 weeks) or Techniques of Natural Light Photography (4 weeks) or Creative Close-ups (4 weeks) Those are just a few options, Sandra - feel free to followup either here or via email (click on my name at left, then the "contact information" link at the upper right). Thanks again for your interest in BetterPhoto's online photography school! Kerry

Thanks for the responses! I was looking at Fundamentals of Photography Made Easy http://www.betterphoto.com/courseOverview.php?cspID=93 Simply because I feel so out of practice. Do you think this is going back to far?

Depends, once again, on where you are now.. :-) It'll certainly dust off any photographic cobwebs that you may have accumulated over the years. I've also had classes from Jim, and he is excellent, too.... Bob

Hi Sandra, I agree with Bob: it depends where you are ... and Jim Zuckerman is an excellent instructor. It can be a great way to review - and get a good handle on - the basics. Thanks for the followup! Kerry

Sorry but I feel like starting over. I completely missed the beginning of digital which is a bit different than film it seems. During my current course I realized how much I had forgotten.

Hi Sandra, Thanks for the added info. Here's another option - one that also covers the fundamentals and is also designed specifically for digital: Jump Start to Digital Photography So many choices :-) but maybe that will fit your needs ... if not, just followup! :-)

Here I go again. The Silvermans. They were my first, and the first is always the best... :-) Never met them, though. Gotta do that one day. They are the epitome of a "10"..

Thank you both for you input. After mulling this over I've decided on Digital Photography Course (8 weeks).
