How to present a client their proofs? I would like to get an opinion here. I have started a small client base for photography and this is what I have been doing so far - I shoot the photos. I place all of the proofs full size on a CD With a light watermark that says PROOF across each photo. The client fills out the order form I have made. I then place the order with the photo lab and thats it. What do you think the best way is to present a client with their proofs? I think it may be to costly to get all of the proofs printed and then the client not buy them. but I know I am not always going to have a client that has access to a computer or that knows how to view them...

Hi Angela, I use a site called photoreflect. You can sign up at expressdigital.com. You can set up a storefront and upload images for free. However, they do take a small percentage of your sales. Customers can order directly from the site. I find it helpful. I don't like doing paper proofs, either. Hope this helps. Cindy Bracken

Hi, I also use photoreflect.com for my customers to view proofs. I even have it connected directly to my lab. . . so customers can place an order through the website, it gets sent to me for last minute alterations (if customers requests it), then I hit okay and it goes to my lab which then mails it to my customer. Now I am not running around back and forth to my local lab! Only downfall is that they take out about 18% of profit, but makes it up because I have a lot more free time and I'm spending less in gas. For the occassional customer that does not have internet access, I mail them proofs.
