Pictured Rocks Lakeshore

Hi everyone – I’m heading north to Michigan the end of this upcoming week in order to do some work for a nature education program. One of the places that I am trying to get some info on is the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore on the shores of Lake Superior. (on the Upper Peninsula and near the small town of Munising) I have driven by this area numerous times, but have not had time to visit the Lakeshore Park. I am having trouble getting any real info on the place. Most of what I’ve found online seems to cover things to do in the area – kid parks, shopping, etc. Has anyone here visited the Park or live in the vague area? Can you direct me to an info source, either online or otherwise? I’d appreciate any info that you can offer. Thanks!

Irene

Google "Pictured Rock Michigan" and you'll get a plethora of links.

Hi John and thank you for the idea. I have read much on line about PRNL, but so much of it is of little use to the photographer who is searching for a different angle. I suspect that I will find what I want once I am there, but it is always good to have some ideas prior to starting out. Thanks again.
