What type of Flash Bracket to buy

I am looking to buy a flash bracket for my canon slr rebel. I'm not really sure what type to buy. I have a shoe mount flash that attaches right on my camera. Any suggestions on what type of bracket I should purchase? Also, do you need a sync cord with them or do they somehow connect with the camera? Thanks!

I don't have a recommendation for a specific bracket, but yes you do need a sync cord to connect the camera to the flash mounted on the bracket. If you have a dedicated TTL flash, then you need the Canon Off-Camera Shoe Cord 2 to maintain full camera/flash communication. If you have a non-dedicated flash then you can use a generic hot shoe sync cord.
