Flashes, slaves...sync-ing...help!?! What equipment do I need? I'm going for a grant locally here where I'm from. They want a list of equipment that I would buy and the prices. I want to get a decent flash "system" going here for portraits and product photography, but I don't want umbrellas/soft boxes all that stuff just yet. I don't have room for all of that. Anyways I've heard about slaves and all that junk. I don't want just one flash on my shoe on top of the camera but would like a couple flashes. How do I sync lets say 2-3 flashes. What are slave drives etc. Please give me just a quick low down of how to run lets say 3 flashes on tripods for a product or portrait. Thanks. .justin.

Is something like these two 550EX's work on my Canon? http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=productlist&A=details&Q=&sku=226523&is=USA&addedTroughType=categoryNavigation Its got two flashes and a transmitter. I think this is what I need, and I think I just answered my own question but any input would be great. .justin.

No I didn't get it (yet hopefully). I'm applying for it, and I HOPE to get it. I'm trying to figure out what to get. And I found that set of 2 x 550EX's and the transmitter so I think that's what I want. I'd give you info but you have to be a resident of Cumberland County, NC. If you are lemme know.
