Flash output compensation indicator?

Flash output compensation indicator?
I just purchased a Nikon SLR 6006 model off Ebay. It seems to be working well although I have not taken photos yet. But, the only obvious thing is the "flash output compensation" indicator will not stop blinking in the LCD panel. Can anyone tell me what might be the problem or how to adjust/fix it? Or is it broken? I could not find anything in the manual that addressed a this if it is flashing continuously!

If it is blinking, it would indicate that the flash compensation is "on." You need to set it back to "0," as you probably have an amount of + or - flash compensation dialed in. You'll need to read the manual as to how to do this. I would presume the previous owner had set it, and never reset it.
