How to shoot a sports event?
My brother takes Kempo Karate he is going to Orlando to the US-Open in July I been taken pictures at his other tournoments they don't look that great. The parents of the other kids want me to take pictures of there kids. I want a new Flash, which would be better a one for me a Sunpak 120J TTL shoe mount or a Sunpak 555 TTL handle mount? And I want to bounce my flash if possible to take out the shadow. Would I also need dedicated or Non-dedicated?

They both have the same guide number so either would work. If it were up to me, I would get the shoe mount with a Stroboframe Flip bracket and a TTL cord to fit your hot shoe. With either, you will probably not be able to bounce the flash. Every tournament I have been to has taken place in a room with extremely high ceilings. Try a mini sofrbox or Omni bounce instead. Definitely go TTL. It will compensate for the diffuser (whichever you get).

Are you able to tote a tripod to the event? If so dont even bother with flash. You,ll get some great pic's.
