What type of scanner to purchase I would like to purchase a scanner that will scan both negative and positive film. I also shoot medium format and would like to scan those positives as well. Any suggestions?

Microtek ArtixScan 120tf seems fine and can handle both formats ( though expensive ).Check www.bhphotovideo.com for details.

I use the Microtek and like it a lot. Depending on your budget, the Epson 4850 is a viable option, quite affordable, and excellent.
