tripod collar attach? How does the tripod collar attach to the tripod head? I currently have a Canon Elan 7E and hope to purchase a Canon EF 70-200mm f/4L USM Lens. My tripods include: *486RC2 head on 3001BD tripod Will I be able to keep the quick release heads on the tripods, or will I need to purchase a special head for the tripod collar?? I'm trying to understand everything before I make the purchase, so please bare with me. Thanking you in advance for your patience. Bunny

Same way you'd attach the camera. The lens tripod ring has a screw thread socket on the bottom into which you screw the quick-release plate. You then mount the QR plate/tripod ring/lens to the head.
