Photography Question

Tom R. Fleeman

what happens to photowhen you enlarge a dx format

I have a Nikon D7000 dx camera. When my lab processes them for bigger photos does it crop out a lot more than my origonal looks to me. What I mean is will they looks just like what I sent in for photos to be made? I think I read somewhere that You have to be careful cropping because you lose some of picture. Thanks.

Tom

It's based on the proportions. 4x6, 5x7, 8x10, all have different proportions. Parts get cropped.
4x6, 6x9, 8x12, 20x30, all have the same proportions. You can enlarge without cropping.
