Novice Photographer I am currently looking to purchase my first SLR camera and I was wondering what camera would be good for a beginner, but also one that I would be able to work with for awhile?

As for SLR cameras;Canon,Minolta,& Nikon make excellent entry level cameras that will grow with you - additional lenses,flash etc. I use a Minolta maxxum 5 as camera of choice. I have used it for nearly two years, and have already started to add to my system! Which camera you choose is up to you!! Just a suggestion for example: Minolta maxxum 5,with a 28mm-105mm lense to start out with,but like I said before, each maker has their own system. Below are some samples from my gallery!
