Dear all who can help,
For a while I have just given my pictures away as presents to family members. (I mostly do close up work)I have just started to sell work to people. I need to know how to mark what I sell? What to put on back of frame? How to Get copywright to all pictures? How many prints should I make? How to number prints?
If Anyone can answere even some of these questions or point me in the right direction please do so.
Thank You in advance so much it is greatly apreciated.

I'm not sure I will be a big help, but first of all, as soon as you take the picture, it is copyright.......you own it and it is yours. I would go about making just a few prints of each saleable image to start with and make more as you need them. How are you going about selling your work? You may only need to make prints as people want them. It sounds like you are going to frame your work before you sell it, but I would think you should watermark your work instead of write on the back of a frame, that way, if anyone ever takes the image out of the frame your info is still on the image. YOu can put your name, the copyright symbol along with the year you took the photo. Good luck to you!!

  Thanks Stephanie,
That is a start I still have a couple of quetions on pricing and if the number of prints I make of one photograph change the value of the image. Were would I go to get water marks put on my prints or can I do it myself?
Thanks agian I apriciate it.

Do you use some type of photoshop? If so, there is a place to watermark your images there, after you scan them. Good luck again!

  Thanks agian,
I do not use a photoshop or any type of scaners. I own a great computer and profesional scaner that was bought by my father yet I do not use it as much becuase I do not like the printing quality of my printer or realy any of the printers I have looked at. I like the developing and printing method that has been used for decades, I am somewhat of a purest when it comes to photography. Thanks agian for your answers I will now try some other things. I will also tri to use some kind of a photoshop, it sounds like fun.
Thanks,
